The Air Transport Settlement System (ATSS) employs the electronic forms of ATSS Standard Traffic Documents (ATSS STDs) to issue a contract for air transportation of passenger, baggage and related services.
The ATSS Standard Traffic Documents comply with international standards. The information related to Form Codes 610 – 619 for different types of the ATSS traffic documents is shown a Passenger Services Conference Resolutions Manual (PSCRM). The range of ATSS STD numbers is allocated depending on the way of the issuance of transportation/services. For Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMDs) and ATSS e-documents with codes of service type 20, 71, 75, 76, 81, 90, 95, 98 the serial numbers are generated from the range with form code 10.
The electronic
forms of ATSS standard traffic documents include e-ticket and Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD). EMD is
used to issue ancillary services to be rendered to passenger, and various fees/charges
collected from passenger. Ancillary services also might be issued on the ATSS electronic
documents.
A number of ATSS e-ticket/EMD is generated by TCH Electronic Ticketing Center (TCH ETC) from the relevant stock of ATSS traffic documents at the time of issuing transportation/ancillary service.
Transportation issuance on the ATSS STDs must comply with the provisions of the ATSS STD Ticketing Handbook.
When issuing transportation services on ATSS STDs and carrying out various transactions, TCH validators are used.
TCH validator stands for a stamp used for manual validation of documents at the time of issuance/exchange/refund of transportation services on the ATSS Stock; and used to identify an agency (its points of sale)
