In order to organize payment for transportation and other ancillary services in Internet Points of Sale (IPOS) with use of payment (bank) cards, TCH offers agencies and their sub-agencies to use TCH's payment Internet-solution based on e-commerce.
TCH's payment Internet-solution enables to organize payment both for air transportation on STD ATSS and other ancillary services rendered to clients - agency's service fees, insurance policies and transfer services (Aeroexpress trains), air services booked out of a TCH's neutral session, etc.
Benefits of Using TCH Payment Internet-Solution
1. When air transportation is issued on STD ATSS, payment by bank cards shall be made using "PK" form of payment. With FOP "PK", no fees for bank cards servicing from the value of transportation (fare, AGC) shall be collected from the Agency;
2. The Agency does not need to separately contract with banks and processing companies. The organization of sale and settlement is contracted with TCH;
3. TCH itself handles card claims from payment systems;
4. Within the framework of TCH payment Internet-solution, a configurable automated system of fraud risk assessment (fraud monitoring) and cardholder authentication (3D-Secure) are used to mitigate risk of fraud and pass risk to issuing banks;
5. The Agency gets a convenient and comprehensive back-office system for payment gateway integrated in a reservation system that allows its users to control operations, manage payments, display details, and get real-time payment reports;
6. Settlement on refunds with cardholders is made automatically and processed in payment systems on the next bank day following the day when the respective refund transaction is made in a reservation system.
Shortly About 3D Secure and MirAccept
3D Secure technology is a part of global programs Visa International "Verified by Visa" and MasterCard Worldwide "MasterCardSecureCode" designed to ensure the secure and reliable methods of payment for merchandises and services on the global Internet.
Globally, over 15 mln holders of Visa and MasterCard cards actively use 'Verified by Visa' and 'MasterCard SecureCode' when shopping on the Internet. Today, over 40K Internet stores and 15K banks worldwide use 3D Secure technology.
3D Secure technology proved to be the most advanced payment security standard allowing fraud risks to zero because a cardholder is authenticated at the time of payment for purchase. This authentication takes place at a special server of the bank-issuer of that bank card (an issuing bank). For authentication, cardholders need to enter logins and passwords known only to them. Thus, standard bank card details (such as card number, expiry date etc.), which can be stolen by a fraudster, are insufficient to make payment on the Internet. Data transmission is secured by the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) 3.0. Data exchange is made via restricted-access networks that passed a PCI DSS audit. Gathering, processing and storage of customers' personal data (card details, login data, etc.) are carried out in processing centers that passed certification according to the PCI DSS standard.
MirAccept is a technology that allows to carry out the transactions of payment for merchandises and services on the Internet using the cards of the national payment system MIR. Initially, the cards working on the MIR system used the 3D-Secure security system. The development belongs to VISA, an American corporation.
Payments with the use of MirAccept is secure as possible, a cardholder enters a secret code at the time of making an online transaction. Secret codes additionally protect bank cards from unauthorized use at the time of online transactions.
The secret code is a onetime password sent through an SMS to a cardholder, and in this case, there is no need to enable the SMS-Informing service.
On the basis of the EMVCo 3D-Secure 2.1.0 protocol, the National Card Payment System developed and implemented MirAccept 2.0., a secure e-commerce platform. Its key feature is that in addition to a conventional cardholder authentication mechanism using a code from SMS messages and push notifications, it has a principle of analysis of the combination of factors that help to authenticate cardholders (payment behavior, device parameters, geolocation etc.). As opposed to dual-factor authentication using an SMS-code, that method to authenticate a payer is more reliable and allows to make a payment process faster and receive more successful payments.
